Photo Border Bug Fixed

This was an admittedly minor bug, but one that probably shouldn’t have QA regardless. In FF/IE, there’s a small border around images that double as links where there shouldn’t be.

This bug has been fixed, and the latest version can be downloaded here.

IE-specific Photo Bug Fixed

Another bug was found. This one affected photo posts. While updating the theme for release, I changed from 400px-wide to 500px-wide images and that caused a minor spacing issue.

As far as I can tell, the bug only affected Internet Explorer. The bug has been fixed, and and updated version is available for downloading.

I was alerted to a minor bug in the footer for Nostalgia 1.0 last evening. The bug has been fixed and the updated code is ready for download!

When I was still using this theme on cubicle17, I had a number of requests to use it. Although it’s my personal policy not to release my personal themes while I’m using theme, I’m no longer using this theme so I’m releasing it for all to use.

Installing Nostalgia is simple:

Download the theme code
Copy the theme’s text
Open up your Dashboard, navigate to the Customize section.
Select the ‘Theme’ tab, and be sure to enable Custom HTML themeing.
Select all the text currently in the box and replace with the text copied in Step 2.
Customize your colors, add your CustomCSS (both optional), and click “Save Changes”
And you’re done!

TV on the Radio - “Staring at the Sun”

TV on the Radio is one of those bands that languished in my library for a while before I sat down and truly listened to them. However, once I finally did sit down and listen, I began kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Always with a hint of the electronic, TV on the Radio’s sound can be difficult to pin down. They can sound a bit like fuzz-rock on one song, can border on jazzy the next, the song after that will be an a cappella number, and the next song will feel a bit like trip-hop. I know this sounds like TV on the Radio can be difficult to listen to at first, but repeated listens always reward with something I hadn’t noticed before.

As a band I overlooked for far too long, I can’t recommend TV on the Radio highly enough.
